Last pair of wax laces i ruined was cut by myself while tightning them!

I was pulling up and didn't notice that they lace was under the skate blade

Might sound strange, but i risk to do that atleast once a month, because i usually start pulling even before i have all the laces in the eyelets!

Last laces I ruined we're working on the out door rink past Christmas period.

Through the wonderfully damp and beautiful drizzle of rain water it was fair to say my skates, laces, socks and feet had seen better days. A young boy fell over on the rink and I skated over to him across the what-was-supposed-to-be-frozen-but-was-now-more-of-a-stupidly-big-puddle as a part of my laces soaked up it's residue. Getting closer to the boy I began to hockey stop, stumbling foolishly over my loose lace and getting a lovely kick with the blade in my shin.

Could say I lost a shin there (which I didn't by the way!), but I think my lace's beheaded and drenched actions had the worse of it. Over the days they all became tethered and smelt wonderfully of a wet dog. I said my peace, placed them abruptly into the bin and never saw them again.
